ALUMINUM CASTING FLAGS

These flags may be inserted into molten aluminum to identify a casting.

The flags have a specially ( dip) coated end which may be laser marked to black with either license plate (sequential) characters or with mold specific data such as the time date code and part number. The markings will survive up to the melting point of the aluminum and can be read after the casting cools down.  The casting can then be identified with a marking made on the casting for traceability after the flag is cropped off.
